Meet Andy

‘My mission is to enable cultures where people speak up, learn, perform & thrive.‘

Andy helps organisations perform through pressure & catch problems upstream; before they cost trust, talent or wellbeing.

Andy’s training consultancy business is over 7 years old. 98% rate his MHFA training as 10/10. In his previous career, Andy was an award winning rescue helicopter winch-paramedic, who managed Clinical Governance for half UK Search & Rescue and was on the UK Standards team.

Drawing on his experience in high-pressure environments on operations, leadership development and mental health education, Andy brings a practical, human-centred approach to workplace wellbeing and performance.

Today, he works with organisations across the UK delivering accredited Growth Mindset & Psychological Safety workshops plus Mental Health First Aid training that leave people feeling empowered, connected and equipped to take action.

Andy describes his 6-word story as ‘Dream big; Keep adventuring; Find yourself’

For much of his career, Andy worked in environments where mistakes carried serious consequences. Serving in the Royal Air Force and HM Coastguard Search & Rescue, he trained and assessed specialist helicopter winch-paramedics in aviation & medical aspects of their life-saving role.

“Success depends on far more than technical expertise. Teams need trust. They need confidence to speak up & leaders who listen. I believes that teams need a culture where learning matters more than blame.”

Lessons from trusting others with his own life to rescue a casualty are the foundation of Andy’s work today.

Andy’s mission to make a positive impact goes beyond training & he takes great pride from planting a tree for every learner who completes training with him!
