Mental Health Awareness Course

This is the Perfect Next Step After Training a Network of MHFAiders®

We developed this session because some clients asked for a bespoke introduction to mental health for all their people. They wanted to change their company culture around mental health and remove perceived barriers of speaking to someone at work about mental health and accessing help through the Employee Assistance Programme. This session does all this and more.

Benefits of Normalising Conversations about Mental Health

Only 36% of businesses have given training to their people in personal resilience, coping strategies and mindfulness (CIPD Health and Wellbeing report 2023).

Normalising conversations about mental health enables earlier interventions and better outcomes for people because they feel safer to speak up, talk about what’s going on and get a little help when they need it. We talk about your EAP on the session and make sure everyone knows how to access it plus people love the exercise on using their senses to manage their own mental health.

*We’ve found it fantastic for MHFAiders® to be part of the session and participate with others to build safety and trust with their colleagues. It’s a great opportunity for everyone to identify who their MHFAiders® are and chat with them during the course.

**We’ve also found that having managers participate in this course with everyone not only grows their understanding, but also builds bridges with their people, as they hear them discussing mental health in a safe setting.  Managers also get positive coping strategies for themselves, learn about self-care and recharging , which helps them become positive role models for their teams.
